Light that comes off the water twice

Every Sydney interior designer says they respect the view. Fewer plan for what it does to the room. A room facing the harbour is lit from the sky and again off the water. The second lot comes from below, at an angle no eave will stop. It lifts every white on the wall, washes out screens, and fades the sun side of a sofa within a few summers.

What does an interior designer do that a good builder cannot? Settle every decision before the builder needs it. Cost turns on scope, not postcode, so the fee is quoted after the first conversation, against a scope you both agree. Whether a designer is worth paying for depends on how much is being spent behind the walls. Variations are where renovation budgets disappear, and Sydney trades price uncertainty into every quote.
